Guests and locals were in for a treat August 6, when internationally known reggae singer Freddie McGregor held an intimate concert at Moon Palace Jamaica in honor of Jamaican Independence Day. McGregor, who started his successful music career at the age of seven, is known for his soulful music and albums such as Signature and Grammy-nominated Anything for You. In 2013, he received the prestigious Marcus Garvey Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute of Caribbean Studies.
