The brands honored those who have passed with Mexico’s most noted holiday celebration
The Day of the Dead is an ancient tradition that has been around for thousands of years and is celebrated throughout the Central and Southern regions of Mexico, where family and friends gather to pray for and remember their beloved friends and family members who have passed away.Palace Resorts and Le Blanc Spa Resortskicked off the holiday on October 31st throughout November 2nd with both brands hosting special events to commemorate the holiday. On November 2nd at The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun, celebrations were held at “El Pueblito,” a traditional Mexican town within the resort. The vibrantly colored town offered various delicious authentic dishes such as pan de muerto, sugar skulls (also known as Calaveras,) and live performances by the incredibly talented Mariachis. At Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun, the resort hosted a special Day of the Dead event which took place at Blanc Luna on November 2nd. The event kicked-off with a welcome cocktail followed by a presentation of the history of the altar where pictures of deceased family members and friends are displayed. At Le Blanc Spa Resort Los Cabos, a special “Dia de Muertos” menu was created for Blanc Ocean.For dinner, a delicious Mexican buffet was offered with a myriad of dish options to choose from, and an incredibly stellar show inspired by the Day of the Dead to close off the event.
