Golfer enthusiasts unite to provide ongoing support for the local community
Lorena Ochoa, the top-ranked female golfer in the world for over three years, together with the Palace Foundation, hosted their fifth annual golf tournament at signature property Moon Palace Cancun. The proceeds of the tournament went towards the enhancement of the Palace Foundation’s Casa Hogar, an orphanage where local children receive housing, healthcare and formal education. Profits will also go towards giving academic scholarships to La Barranca Educational Center, a project of the Lorena Ochoa Foundation. Golf enthusiasts joined Ochoa and Palace executive teams at the tournament’s gala, followed by a one-on-one clinic with Ochoa. Participants tested their skills at the Jack Nicklaus designed course, the first in the Mexican Caribbean.
