Top media, local dignitaries and recognized artists honor Rastafarian culture
This month, the island of Jamaica kicked off reggae month with a major reggae music festival. Rebel Salute was created by legendary reggae artist Tony Rebel. This unique family-friendly event that promotes the most positive aspects of reggae music, and by extension the best of Jamaican culture. Moon Palace Jamaica a AAA Four Diamond property, and Jamaica’s most luxurious all-inclusive resort played host to the widely recognized event’s pre-festival activities. The resort welcomed international and local media as well as government dignitaries. Attendees included the Honorable Olivia ‘Babsy’ Grange, Ministry of Culture, and Tourism Minister, Honorable Edmund Bartlett. Reggae month celebrations continue throughout the month of February, honoring the Rastafari communities, their music, and culture.
