The Palace Foundation is once again partnering with former professional golfer Lorena Ochoa, who played on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour from 2003 to 2010, and was the top-ranked female golfer in the world for over three years. Together with Fundacion Palace, Ochoa will host Palace Resorts’ third annual golf tournament at signature property Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort on May 20-21, 2016. The proceeds of the tournament will go towards the enhancement of the Palace Foundation’s Casa Hogar, an orphanage where local children receive housing, healthcare and formal education. Profits will also go towards giving academic scholarships to La Barranca Educational Center, a project of the Lorena Ochoa Foundation. Golf enthusiasts will join Ochoa and Palace executive teams at the tournament’s gala, followed by a one-on-one clinic with Ochoa. Participants will test their skills at the resort’s Jack Nicklaus course, the first in the Mexican Caribbean. A luncheon and award ceremony with Ochoa will follow the tournament.
